Our annual retreat is always a highlight on the Diverse calendar. But this year, it ended with something extra special: the Diverse Awards Night and Dinner. An evening dedicated to recognising the team members whose work quietly makes everything else possible.
Three awards. Three extraordinary people. Here's the story behind each one.
This award recognises the bookkeeper who brings exceptional skill and passion to their work. Melita embodies that every single day. Her colleagues describe her as hard-working, efficient, and someone who consistently goes out of her way to help others.

This award celebrates someone who builds exceptional relationships. The evidence of that is overwhelming. Liz's colleagues say clients simply love her, and that her ability to connect with anyone is something they genuinely admire.
She goes above and beyond, including working after hours to meet tight deadlines, and she takes the time to have those detailed early conversations with new clients that set everything up for success. Even her clients' accountants have raved about the quality of her work.
Liz makes people feel supported, confident, and in very good hands. That is exactly what the Client Connection Champion award is all about. Congratulations, Liz.
This award is for the forward-thinker who constantly looks for better ways to do things. Amanda's colleagues and clients alike nominated her in droves. Internally, she is known for always researching new methods, seeking out extra training, and bringing fresh ideas to team meetings with energy and enthusiasm.
One standout example: Amanda configured Square to work seamlessly for a client, eliminating manual journals entirely, and introduced Xonboard to streamline their entire hiring process. The result? A client who feels the difference every single day.
